Ramses II ruled Egypt during the 19th dynasty in the 12th century BC. His reign lasted 67 years. He was known as surpassing all of the glories of other pharaohs, as Egypt prospered considerably throughout his reign. He brought peace to Egypt by ending long wars and conflicts with Egypt's enemies, including the Hittites. Ramses II was also known as a great warrior.
